Wednesday - Scremerston - the Carboniferous

Worth seeing this beach but access is down a steep path and you need to watch tides.

Trying to see what is under water while we wait for the tide to reveal the rocks.
 

There were so many interesting formations at the top of our area, logs soils etc.
 

Trying to sea something in this section.

Most of it was laid in deep water and consisted of mudstone.

Now the rocks were dry and we could see fossils like this crinoid stem
